Basic Travel Requirements for Rwandans visiting Namibia

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Namibian Visa.


  • Your original Rwandan passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the intended trip date. It should have at least one blank page for visa stamp.
  • Visa application form filled in Block letters and duly signed.
  • Two recent coloured passport-sized photographs that meet the visa photo specification.
  • Travel itinerary.
  • Medical report that shows your most recent health status.
  • A police report from Rwanda showing good conduct.
  • For minors, a certified unabridged birth certificate accompanied by a signed letter of consent from their parents is needed.
  • Round trip or onward ticket.
  • Flight bookings.

  • Proof of financial sustenance for your stay in Namibia.
  • An introduction letter detailing the trip.
  • There's no Namibian embassy in Rwanda. You could apply at the embassy in Tanzania.
  • From September 2019, Rwandans travelling to Namibia can get a visa on arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Namibia at the cost of N$1000.

What languages do they speak in Namibia?

English is an official language of Namibia making most of the citizens capable of speaking and understanding it. The older Namibians however only take English as a third language and as such the standard is fairly poor.
