Entry Requirements

  • India citizens can visit Laos for a duration of 30 days by applying for the Laos' e-visa or visa on arrival.
  • To apply for the Laos e-visa, visit the Laos Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website for the application process.
  • Your e-visa will be issued to you within 3 working days provided all you fulfill all the requirements demanded.
  • You must have an international passport that is valid for at at least 6 months beyond their date of your exit from the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for necessary stampings.
  • The import and export of the local currency are permitted. Amounts above 2,000 USD or equivalent in foreign currency must be declared on entry or exit from the country.
  • Travellers visiting Laos are to provide a financial statement to show that they have sufficient funds to spend during their time in Laos,
  • Provision of an onward or return ticket is required.
