Entry Requirements

  • India citizens can visit Bahrain by applying for the Bahraini e-visa for a stay up to 90 days.
  • To apply for the Bahrain e-visa, visit the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website for your e-visa application procedure.
  • Your Bahrain e-visa will take three days for its process and will be emailed to you with this three days, providing you met all the requirements needed for the visa application.
  • You are to print out your visa form and take it along with you when you are visiting Bahrain.
  • To extend your visa staying period, you should get in touch with the Immigration Department of Bahrain. However, this extension incurs a visa extension fee.
  • You are to provide an original international passport that valid for at least 6 months and you should reserve a minimum of two blanked pages for necessary stampings.
  • Your country's national Identity card is required upon your arrival at the Bahrain airport.
  • Proof of hotel reservation or any other means of your accommodation in Bahrain.
  • Sufficient funds that will cater to all your expenses throughout your time in Bahrain should be made available before you embark on your journey to the country.
  • Airport tax is not levied on any traveler upon their embarkation at the country's airport.
  • The standard time zone of Bahrain is (GMT+3). The time difference between Bahrain and India is 2 hours, 30 minutes. That is, India is 2 hours, 30 minutes ahead of Bahrain.

  • The airlines traveling to Bahrain from India currently, are: Gulf Air 133, Gulf Air 131, Air India 939, and Gulf Air 135.

  • Bahrain banks stop operations on Fridays and Saturdays and resume operations on Sundays.
  • The local official currency of Bahrain is Bahraini Dinar (BHD).
